WHY SHOULD YOU CARE?

Because this is Rock 'n' Roll history!

James McCoy and The Heroine Beige is what happens when sex, drugs, and rock 'n' roll have a threesome that results in an unwanted pregnancy.

It's bewildering that you've never heard of them... so you can thank us later for keeping you up to speed; your kids will finally think you're cool.

The Band

WHY DO WE NEED YOUR MONEY?

The BATTLE OF THE BANDS is happening on the 30th of April, with or without us, and we need £35,000 to capture history on film. Think Woodstock 1969.

After The Heroine Beige's BIG European tour, the band's leaders, brothers James and John McCoy, have tragically broken up. We've been following James around Berlin to document the fallout, but we've bloody well lost him!

We hear James has been on a wild bender in London and is gearing up to face his rock 'n' roll nemesis in an epic BATTLE OF THE BANDS showdown...

...BUT... we're stuck in Berlin!

We need a flight to catch him, a better camera, a British crew, and preferably a bed to sleep in.

Here's what your cash is paying for:

  • Enough liquor to put James to sleep and enough stimulants to get him on stage...
  • Fair Wages for Crew
  • Camera & Lighting Equipment
  • Sound Equipment
  • Locations & Permits
  • Healthy meals and safe working conditions for the crew
  • Equipment transportation expenses
  • Safety Coordination
  • Post-production (editing, sound mixing, colour grading)

After James and John broke up, their label pulled all funding, and their screaming fans are completely broke...

...SO we need YOU to help us keep shooting so that YOU can witness rock 'n' roll history.

James and John Interview

IN ALL SERIOUSNESS...

This is a three-part mockumentary comedy series called The Heroine Beige. We've already shot Part 1 on a £20,000 budget, and we need your help to shoot Parts 2 & 3.

We are Kit Moynihan and Saverio Cesaretti, an up-and-coming filmmaking duo working alongside an exciting new member of our team, Ruby Rose Krakower.

The Heroine Beige follows wannabe-rockstar James McCoy as he navigates co-leading his band, The Heroine Beige, with his "brother" John McCoy. The pair have taken on British identities in an attempt to garner street cred in the music industry.

Think This is Spinal Tap meets Almost Famous (with a Guy Ritchie flair).

SERIES BREAKDOWN

Episodes 2 and 3: James and After Hours

(CURRENTLY IN PRE-PRODUCTION)

James McCoy, now a washed-up former rockstar, is in the midst of an identity crisis. He's reeling from the breakup of his band and ex-best friend / "brother" John, and decides to go to London to rediscover his "British roots".

However, instead of basking in the homecoming he envisioned, James is confronted with a newfound musical rival: Josh Nemesis of the band Nemesis. Now he's got just one day to assemble a new band to redeem his former glory in an epic Battle of the Bands showdown that will surely be etched in the annals of rock 'n' roll.

COMING TO A STREAMING SERVICE NEAR YOU!

(In 2027...)

There has never been a better time to make a rockumentary.

When was the last time a great comedy music film or show came out? That's right, we can't remember either. We live in a world where comedy has gone missing from the "music film". The Heroine Beige vows to resurrect it by satirizing the drama and self-seriousness of the current-day rock 'n' roll biopic.

GROVELING...

So now we come to you, with our heads firmly laid beneath your feet, asking, nay, begging for anything you might be inclined to donate to fund the making of The Heroine Beige Parts 2 & 3.

With our deepest love and affection,

Kit, Saverio, and Ruby

"I think that the ability to make people laugh and interpret the world through comedy and music is one of the greatest talents and most brilliant contributions to humanity, especially during dark times such as ours... so it should be supported."
- Saverio's Aunt Laura (who isn't biased at all, and donated £100)
